From HudsonAlpha.org:

Support HudsonAlpha’s Breakthrough Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research Team
This group of scientists is committed to the goal of using genomic science and HudsonAlpha’s state-of-the-art technology to find new breakthroughs in breast and ovarian cancers. Through collaborations with scientists around the nation, this team is working to find biomarkers that lead to earlier, more accurate diagnoses and new pathways for more effective and targeted treatments. Breast and ovarian cancers are complicated diseases but through the power of genomic science and medicine, HudsonAlpha is working to find answers that make a difference. Each day we strive to find new breakthroughs that will bring health, healing and hope to those around us.
Information is Power
At last year’s Tie the Ribbons Luncheon, HudsonAlpha, in collaboration with Kailos Genetics, announced that the groundbreaking genetic testing program called Information is Power for members of the Huntsville/ Madison County community would continue for the fourth year. This program provides genetic testing for the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes associated with breast and ovarian cancer as well as a set of genes that can predict possible increased disease risk. To date, more than 4,000 people have taken the genetic test and now have more power over their own health decisions. Thank you to the Russell Hill Cancer Foundation as well as our other community partners and supporters for making this program possible.
