Let's celebrate with his first number-one hit, "He Didn't Have to Be."
Brad and his good buddy Kelly Lovelace wrote the song -- which is about Kelly becoming a step-dad -- on the front porch of Kelly's house. Kelly recalls Brad telling him, "Let's write a song about you [and your step-son] that will make your wife cry."
